People's Daily Online, Beijing, July 11 (Reporter Liu Wei) The opening ceremony of "Shengshou Tianbao Fanghua-Yuanmingyuan Animal Head and Cultural Relics Exhibition" was held in Hong Kong recently. The national treasures on display include the Qing Dynasty Yuanmingyuan Haiyantang Chinese Zodiac Bull Head, Tiger Head, Monkey Head, Pig Head, Four bronze animal heads in the middle of the Western Zhou Dynasty, Suigong Yi exhibits and dozens of other precious bronze cultural relics from Shang Zhou to Han Dynasty.
In addition to the traditional exhibition methods, this exhibition uses multimedia and immersive exhibition methods to make the millennium cultural relics shine in the digital space, make the cultural relics "live" and show the brilliance and vastness of Chinese civilization. The exhibition specially added a transparent OLED interactive display cabinet to digitally present the cultural relics in the Poly Art Museum, realizing the cross-temporal integration of ancient civilization and new technology, so that the historical memory and national feelings behind the cultural relics can be passed on in the protection.
It is reported that the bronze statue of the head of the National Treasure of the Old Summer Palace was originally a hydraulic bell component in front of the Haiyan Hall in the garden. It was cast during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty in the middle of the 18th century AD and was lost overseas due to the looting of the Anglo-French coalition forces in 1860. These 4 pieces of Yuanmingyuan national treasures from the Qianlong period are exquisite in workmanship. They were designed by Italian missionary Lang Shining and others. They are dark in color and finished by casters, showing a very high level of craftsmanship. Their shapes have many western artistic characteristics, and at the same time have strong Chinese traditional aesthetic taste, which combines the artistic characteristics of Eastern and Western modeling.
China Tourism Group Co., Ltd. and Hong Kong China Travel Service (Group) Co., Ltd., expressed the hope that the Old Summer Palace Animal Head Cultural Relics Exhibition can take everyone through the historical situation, understand the growth of the country, share the development opportunities of the prosperous age, and create a better future for Hong Kong.
